The AlertWave system is designed to wirelessly alert, warn and inform people of what to do during emergency or disaster situations. The AlertWave system includes all the components needed by emergency and security personnel to be able to deliver warning and critical information: Central Control Units, Public Address speakers, strobe lights, sirens, Alphanumeric LED displays and radio transmitters to provide full RF coverage of any sized
area.

The AlertWave System:

- Central Control Units -The AlertWave system offers two central control units to monitor, control and activate all the system remote devices. The VNS5100 is an in-house PC based central control unit with a management, monitoring and control software package that can control up to 10,000 wirelessly controlled devices. The VNS5100 can initiate live pre recorded voice alerts to wireless PA
speakers and phones, text messaging alerts to LED displays and email accounts and audio/visual alerts to wirelessly controlled strobe lights and sirens.
The VNS2500 is a compact, easy to use paging unit, that can control and initiate alerts to up to 1000 remote devices, making it an ideal solution for a portable mobile or simple emergency alert applications.
- Wirelessly Remote Devices -The AlertWave wirelessly remote devices includes indoor and outdoor PA speakers, Alphanumeric LED displays, strobe lights and sirens. Most of the devices come with a weatherproof housing for facility-wide indoor and outdoor alerting. The system remote devices can be activated as individual or part of different group level such as room, floor, building and facility
wide alert.
- High Power Radio Transmitters -The AlertWave system offers a wide selection of radio transmitters from 8-350 Watts, to match any application needs. The system uses a dedicated FCC approved UHF/VHF frequency for each installation, to minimize any RF interference. Federal and military installations can use the special UHF (400-420Mhz) that is dedicated to government use only.
- Modular Design- The AlertWave is designed as an open architecture system, that provides the flexibility to expand the system in phases and as needed. Wireless remote devices such as PA speakers, strobe lights LED displays, etc. can be added to the system at any point to improve or expand the system coverage.
- Supervision and Security -The AlertWave system offers a secure activation mode to eliminate any unauthorized use or jamming of the system remote devices. A full wireless supervision option of each remote device is available, where each remote device can be 'polled' to transmit a status and setting information back to the main control unit.
- Local Integration - AlertWave can be integrated with many of the in-house systems like fire alarm, access control, security, chemical & radiological sensors and weather monitoring systems. Interface to the system can also be done using Ethernet, RS-232 , telephone or dry-contact inputs.
- Certifications -The AlertWave system is compliant with Department of Defence United Facilities Criteria (UFC), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), OSHA, ADA, and NFPA standards and codes.
